Gallery: The Toy Wife (1938)

The Toy Wife was Luise’s first film made since winning her second Academy Award.  A tale of love, deceit and unbridled passion, it is set in the Louisiana of the mid 1800s, before the outbreak of the civil war. Find out more about the film here.
